RYAN BENJAMIN

Ryan has a background in digital photography since 2011 as well as fine arts sculpture and black and white print making.

His continuous body of self portraiture started shortly after the divorce of his parents and his coming out as gay in conservative, small town Jacksonville, Florida. His instagram page is a performance piece used to create a false persona where his personal projections can be displayed. The images range in subject matter and aim to question the reality of the people we present ourselves to be online.

He is currently working in Brooklyn, NY. His work has won many awards and has been featured in private and public galleries and museums throughout the United States.
